How to tie it
- Lay the fly line, leader butt, and a thin tube (or nail) side by side.
- Wrap the leader butt around all three (fly line, leader, and tube) 5-6 times, working towards the fly line tip.
- Thread the leader butt back through the tube.
- Remove the tube carefully while holding the wraps.
- Pull both ends of the leader to tighten against the fly line.
- Trim both tags flush for a smooth finish.
