  1. Line to 13 ft waggler rod - Mainline 3 lb (0.16 mm)
  2. 2 float stops above, 2 below - Locks the float at depth
  3. 2.5 g loaded insert waggler - 0.1 g per foot of depth
  4. 5 x No.8 bulk - Two-thirds of the way to the hook
  5. 2 x No.10 droppers - Spaced below the bulk
  6. Loop-to-loop, 10 in hooklength - 0.13 mm

How to fish it

Cast past the feed, wind back and sink the line. The bait falls with the loose feed.

Variations worth knowing

  • Beginner: 10 ft rod, 6 lb line, 6 medium shot (1 above, 5 below), 3 x No.8 down the line, 4 lb hooklength, size 16.
  • Spring: 3 g loaded crystal waggler, 2 x No.8 spread, 12 in 0.13 mm hooklength, size 18 F1 pellet hook.
