Before You Delete
Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
We recommend exporting your data before deleting your account. You can do this in the app via Settings → Export All My Data (GDPR).
What Gets Deleted
When you delete your account, the following data is permanently removed from our servers within 30 days:
Account & Profile
- Email and display name
- Pro profile and settings
- Authentication credentials
- Device session data
Fishing Data
- All catch logs and personal bests
- Photos and videos
- Venue data and GPS pins
- Match reports and trip plans
Community & Social
- Community feed posts
- Venue reviews and ratings
- Leaderboard entries
- Messages and reports
Equipment & Settings
- Kit checklists
- Reel line tracker data
- Licence reminders
- App preferences and layout
Data we may retain: Anonymised analytics data (no personal information) and financial transaction records as required by UK tax law (up to 6 years). Your Stripe subscription is also cancelled automatically.
How to Delete Your Account
Option 1: Delete from within the App (Recommended)
- Open FishingTactix and sign in to your account

Export your data first (optional):
Go to Settings → Export All My Data (GDPR)
This downloads all your data as a JSON file -
Delete your account:
Go to Settings → Danger Zone → Delete My Account - Confirm the deletion when prompted
All local data is cleared immediately. Cloud data is permanently deleted within 30 days.
Option 2: Request deletion by email
If you cannot access the app, email us directly:
Subject: Account Deletion Request
Include:
- The email address associated with your FishingTactix account
- Whether you would like a copy of your data before deletion
We will verify your identity and process the deletion within 30 days. You will receive a confirmation email once complete.
What Happens to My Subscription?
If you have an active Pro subscription:
- Your Stripe subscription is automatically cancelled when your account is deleted
- No further charges will be made
- If you are mid-billing period, the remaining time is forfeited
- For a refund of unused time, contact us at kristan@fishingtactix.com before deleting your account

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:
Access your data
Request a full copy of all data we hold about you
Export your data
Download in machine-readable JSON format via Settings
Correct your data
Request correction of any inaccurate information
Delete your data
Permanently remove all personal data from our systems
